Plan, act, evaluate and improve

Goals:

We humans have a lot of goals and targets to achieve in our lives. It all related to interests and aspirations. Our some goals are personal and some professional. No doubt both of them have vital importance in our lives as we they help us earn a livelihood and be more human than robots as professional and personally goals respectively.

A goal without a plan is a dream (Brian Tracy)

Not ignoring the importance of both type of goals i will focus on my professional goal that is becoming a professional process engineer. And for sure only aiming about something does not get you there, you have to plan, act on your plans , evaluate and improve. Here i am going to share some skills which i think are must and i will like to credit Umer Farooqi HR person in Engro power plant and LUMS graduate. He has a youtube chanel for professional grooming i will recommend to go and check out that . Umer Farooqi.

Magic six

Magic six to excel

So here are magic six:

  1. Resume writing
  2. Interviewing skills
  3. Soft skills
  4. Technical skills
  5. Networking
  6. Personal branding

Ok so the thing is i am already working on many of the skills individually here i will be targetting the technical skills regarding being a asset in the cooperate sector. I have devised statergy regarding building up my technical skills matching the industry requirements. So i had already been planning on it and gathering data all from internet and i found linked in very helping. I had found a mannual regarding process engineering by an indian author Ankur srivastava. I was willing to read and explore it but could not find time, even though i had taken a print out of it. But this activity of #juststartyourgaols has helped me manage time to develope a smart stratergy to get started and working on it.

First three tasks

First three tasks to achieve the goals:

  1. Get an overview of manual
  2. Refresh knowledge of software
  3. Finding best YouTube channel for software learning and watch first video

I will be working on specific sections each week from smalls goals i have formulated and bongo, i am done with the first topic of the manual and all thanks to Amal helping me out do it in a very fun and interesting manner.

a glimpse of my reading

Well it was quite difficult to think what goal to select and where to start. Then looking for the priorities and what is most possible it got easier to give it a kick strat, and i hope to continue and keep working the plans i have made in upcoming weeks and will look for alternations and possibilities as well. Overall its been a good experience.
